‘JINGLE BELL’ SINGERS NEEDED

Date Posted: 05-10-2017

Bolton Cancer Voices are on the countdown to Christmas with rehearsals well underway for their annual ‘Jingle Bell Sing-A-Long’ concert, on Saturday 2nd December, 6-45pm, in the Victoria Hall, Bolton: when they will again welcome the Greater Manchester Police Band, as their guest musicians.

The Choir, whose members are all cancer patients and cancer survivors, are currently looking to recruit additional voices to join them in the audience participation elements of the programme. The invitation is open to anyone (over 18), who has received a cancer diagnosis at any point in their life and to any healthcare professional, in hospital or the community, whose role, in part or entirety, involves the treatment, care or support of cancer patients.

You need to be able to commit to attending 4 rehearsals, commencing Monday 6th November, 7-30pm – 9pm; in the centre of Bolton. There are no geographical restrictions; you don’t need to be able to read music or to have had any previous choral experience.

Karen Elliott, Chair of Bolton Cancer Voices said: –
‘We are very conscious that there may be cancer patients and cancer survivors out there, who would like to give the Choir a try and get a taste of the great experiences we have before deciding on joining; this is the ideal opportunity to do just that.

We are also keen to have healthcare professionals come along and stand shoulder to shoulder with us to experience the inspirational power of song and see for themselves what makes Bolton Cancer Voices so special.

Everyone is identified by their first names only; no one will be distinguished as either patients or professionals: we just come together with a shared love of singing and for the chance to take part in a fantastic, family-friendly event, with a great festive atmosphere.’
