INSPIRATIONAL CHOIR SEARCHING FOR UNDISCOVERED TALENT

This has been a milestone year for Bolton Cancer Voices, who celebrated their 5th Birthday in June.

The Choir, whose membership comprises cancer patients and cancer survivors, is now tuning up for their annual ‘Jingle Bell Sing-A-Long’ concert in the Victoria Hall, Bolton, on Saturday 2nd December; when they will again be joined by the ever-popular Greater Manchester Police Band.

The Choir is keen to attract new members to their ranks. Membership is open to anyone who has received a cancer diagnosis of any type, at any time. People need not live locally, as long as they can get to Bolton for rehearsals, which are held on Monday evenings. You do not need previous choral experience or to be able to read music; there are no auditions and membership is free.

Karen Elliott, Chair of the Choir said:-
‘This is a great time to join us, no matter where you are at in your cancer journey, whether newly diagnosed or many years into survivorship.

We come together to share our love of singing and to entertain others. For us the ‘big C’ is in Choir and the little c in cancer! We don’t dwell on the illness that brings people to our door but everyone knows that if they need someone to talk to there is always support available and people who will willingly lend a listening ear, share their experience and help wherever possible.

We’re a really friendly bunch, who care about each other, live life to the full and share endless fun times together. We really hope you’ll feel inspired to join us.’
