Bolton Cancer Voices will be ringing in the festive season with their annual Christmas concert – ‘Jingle Bell Sing-A-Long’, on Saturday 5th December, 6.45pm, in the Victoria Hall, Bolton.
Packed with seasonal favourites and popular carols, the programme promises a great night’s entertainment and will for the first time feature the Greater Manchester Police Band, under the direction of their Conductor, Mr Jonathan Taylor.
To avoid lengthy queues on the night, organizers are urging concert-goers to buy their tickets in advance through their Ticket Secretary on 01204 883977.
Karen Elliott, Chair of Bolton Cancer Voices said: –
‘’Jingle Bell Sing-A-Long’ is the performance highlight of our calendar and this year is going to be even better than ever!
After our appearance at the Christmas Celebration of Greater Manchester Police last year in Manchester Cathedral, we’re really looking forward to again performing with the Greater Manchester Police Band; we’re extremely honoured that they have accepted our invitation.
They are a celebrated Symphonic Wind Band, who always draw in the crowds and wow their audiences: I know they have lined-up some wonderful music for the event.
The concert programme contains a diverse selection of festive music, with lots of opportunities for the audience join in the fun and sing along.’
Bolton Cancer Voices entered the choral world just three years ago and is believed to be the North West’s only dedicated Choir for cancer patients and cancer survivors. Though cancer brings this inspirational Choir together it is never allowed to define or restrict them: their membership criteria aside, in all other respects they consider themselves a community Choir like any other, with many dreams and aspirations.
